This floor lamp design was what I've been searching out for upwards of 3 years: graceful contemporary style, brown hardware with linen-like beige shades. The lamp I received had all the right elements, and all parts were present except light bulbs (not included with the purchase).

But a crucial part arrived broken, for two reasons. First, the original factory packing box was the shipping box - which was inadequate. While all parts were pretty well protected inside, the contents were not impact-proof. And the box had come from China, via Mississippi and Kentucky. The second cause of problems was that the materials used were shoddy. One of the brown plastic bulb holders had completely sheared off. This was the only part broken, but it was critical for the whole lamp. The bulb base was fixed to its metal support bracket and was neither to be glued, nor removed and replaced with something easily obtained at a hardware store.

I sent it back for a refund. While the style was perfect for my taste, the construction quality would appall anyone who wanted a safe electrical item.
